Just what is a “Lighthouse Challenge?”

A Lighthouse Challenge is a self-guided tour to an established number of lighthouses. At each lighthouse the partipant sees, he or she will be able to have their Offical Lighthouse Challenge Map stamped. Those participants who complete the Challenge and receive all five stamps will then receive a special Lighthouse Challenge completion souvenir. You do not need to climb the towers to complete the challenge; one merely needs to see it.

Challenge Lighthouses & Events
Official Challenge Times:  9:30am-5:00pm ET (10:30-6:00pmAT)
 Stamps will be given at all locations throughout the day. Events specific to each lighthouse are detailed here. The purpose  of the event is to “see” each lighthouse, you do not need to climb the towers in order to complete the Lighthouse Challenge.
 1.  Head Harbour Lighthouse, Campobello Island, Canada
9:30am-12:00pm ET (10:30am-1:00pm AT) — Walk to Head Habour Lighthouse, climb the tower.
 2.  Mulholland Lighthouse, Campobello Island, Canada
 A stamping station will be located near the lighthouse.
 3. West Quoddy Lighthouse, Lubec, Maine
11:00am-3:00pm ET- (12:00pm-2:00pm AT)
12 noon to 3:00 pm (1:00pm-4:00pm AT) — Climb the tower at West Quoddy Lighthouse.
 4. Lubec Channel Lighthouse, Maine
 A stamping station will be located at West Quoddy Gifts in view of the lighthouse.
 5. Little River Lighthouse, Cutler, Maine
2:00pm-5:00pm ET (3:00pm-6:00pm AT) —  Friends of Little River Lighthouse island tours from public boat ramp. Alternatively, trips around the island to view from water will be arranged for those not able to disembark on the island.
